How to apply for a Bursery



The JB Marks Education Trust Fund applications are open from the second (2nd) week of March and close on the first (1st) of July every year. Only individuals who are currently not funded and who meet the selection criteria may apply for funding at JB Marks Applicants can apply online by clicking this link JB Marks Online Application Form. The following supporting documentation is required with every application (manual and online), should the applicant fail to produce ALL the supporting documentation required, their application will not be considered:

  • Union member/official’s payslip (for verification purposes).
  • Certified copy of applicant’s latest school results.
  • Certified ID copies of both the applicant and the union member/official.
  • Acceptance Letter from the University institution or letter verifying your application with the institution.
  • Motivation Letter (post-graduate studies.

Post Graduate Applications JB Marks Education Trust Fund only covers existing JB Marks students who are continuing with their post-graduate studies within a year of completing their undergraduate qualifications. Post-grad funding is only funded for identified critical fields of study. Applicants need to re-apply to be funded and must submit the following supporting documents:

  • Acceptance Letter from the prospective university.
  • Quotation of fees.
  • Academic Record.
  • Motivation Letter.

Applications can be downloaded and filled out manually on this link Download Application Form. Downloaded applications must be dropped off at the nearest NUM regional offices at the earliest convenience to the applicant.

Application forms are also available at NUM regional offices across the country between March and July every year, members can obtain them from there.

Applications that are e-mailed will not be considered.

Successful applicants will be contacted by the JB Marks office through an acceptance letter addressed to the applicant’s physical/postal address and or/through the regional office relevant to the said applicant.

If an applicant does not receive correspondence from the office of JB Marks Education Trust Fund within XXX, it means that the application was unsuccessful.

The best efforts are made by the office of JB Marks Education Trust Fund to ensure that successful applicants are informed, we therefore urge all applicants to clearly state the address (e-mail, residential or postal) of where they would like letter to be addressed. Furthermore, applicants are advised to frequently be on the lookout for the response from JB Marks office between the stipulated dates.
