  1. Sicelo Masuku

    Position: Finance Committee


    Portfolio: Portfolio Head

    The trust is a section 18A NPO and we are a substructure of the fund which means our financial reporting has to be at least in line with the trust. I believe as a trainee CA, I have adequate knowledge on the different reporting requirements as it’s what I do on a daily basis.  Being a finance head requires more than availability and willingness, one has to have the technical expertise in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of his/her the department.  


  2. Sibusiso Dlamini

    Position: Portfolio Head


    Portfolio: Stakeholder Relations

    I am honoured to be for a leadership position within the JB Marks Education Trust Fund Alumni structure; and hereby humbly accept the nomination.

    It is my considered view and with confidence that I can execute the duties of the position to the satisfaction of the Trust Fund. 


  3. Melikhaya Soboyisi

    Position: Portfolio Head


    Portfolio: Student Development

    My name is Melikhaya Soboyisi from Matlosana (Klerksdorp). I have bachelors of Public Health from Monash University and currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand. In 2011-2013, I was the student ambassador of the Junior Public Health Association of South Africa (JUPHASA). 



  4. Nandipha Tselanyane

    Position: Chairperson


    Portfolio:

    My name is Nandipha Tselanyane and I have been nominated for the position of Chairperson of the JB Marks Alumni. I am an Attorney by profession and a product of JB Marks Education Trust Fund.

    I have served in various positions within the JB marks Alumni long before I became an Alumnus myself. I served in the portfolio of Stakeholder Relations, Secretariat and elected as the National Office Bearer of Legal and Compliance.


  5. Molefi Moeti

    Position: Portfolio Head


    Portfolio: Marketing & Communications (Fundraising)

    I am honoured to be nominated for this position and I accept the nomination knowing that it comes with a lot of responsibility.

    I am currently studying Brand Innovation (Advanced Diploma) with Vega School of brand leadership in Randburg.  I have obtained a National Diploma in Marketing Management through Vaal University of Technology and I also obtained a qualification in Radio Production with Boston City Camous and Business College; which I was awarded the best academically performer.


  6. Thando Mota

    Position: Coordinator


    Portfolio: Community Outreach

    I am a 25 year old South African female who studied at the University of Johannesburg, and graduated with Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Degree in 2017.

    I also hold a Certificate in Basic Management principles from Oxbridge Academy in Johannesburg South Africa. Over and above my academic qualifications, I believe i am most suited for this this position because I have a passion for working with people, especially young people; I also regard myself as an agent of change and leadership.



  7. Tjotjo Kuhlase (TJ)

    Position: Vice Chairperson

    Thank you for the nomination, I hereby officially accept the nomination.

    I have been a member in good standing of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) for years. When you speak of JB Mark’s and NUM, I consider those two institutions my none biological parents, they are ingrained in my DNA, I bleed the Red of NUM.

    I hold a BTech(Mining), BCom degree and LLB degree. I’m a team-player, ambitious also have the appetite to learn from others, I’m tough, firm but fair. Vote for me as your leader and let’s take these two institutions to a different level.
